Come to Killer Diller Weekend 2016 in Seattle, WA! With instruction by Steven and Chanzie, live music from Casey MacGill & Indigo Rhythm, The Jen Hodge All Stars, and Jacob Miller and The Bridge City Crooners, two chances to compete, and a talent show, this weekend is packed full of Lindy Hop revelry! Starting Friday night at the Aria Ballroom in Redmond, Washington, Eastside Stomp will be hosting the Jen Hodge All Stars for a swinging good time.

If you come for the dancing, stay to compete in our Friday night Face Off Jack and Jill competition! For $10.00, this competition will have a standard Jack and Jill prelim format with a sudden death finals format. First place will receive passes to the 2017 Seattle Lindy Exchange. Second place will receive a whole year of Savoy Swing Club membership, and third place will receive a month’s worth of classes at the location of their choosing. To stay calm through all this excitement, join us in your coolest clothes (especially since you’ll be dancing on “The Sunny Side of the Street”).

Then be sure to get up and get over to the Russian Center Saturday morning for the first day of classes with Steven and Chanzie! They’ll be teaching an array of Shag and LA Style Lindy throughout the day; don’t miss out on this opportunity to expand your repertoire of dance and learn from their wealth of experience from over 30 years combined dancing experienced.

After classes Saturday, strut your stuff solo or with a group at our Talent Show! Ten acts will get four minutes to show what they’ve got before our Harvest Moon Ball Dance. Be sure to sign up quick as spots are limited. The winners will be selected by the Savoy Swing Club Board and they’ll be keeping an eye out for originality and overall performance quality. The only catch: no couples.

Then after our Talent Show blows your mind with special performances, hang out for a bit in the Washington Hall in your smoothest “Shiny Stocking” formal wear. Then, capture your looks at our Harvest Moon Ball Photo booth before you sweat it all off to the Jacob Miller and the Bridge City Crooners. In between all the dancing, catch the Face Off Jack and Jill Finals! The judges will be choosing our winning couple on the spot.
Sunday, we’ll continue to party with classes taking place at the Russian Center again with Steven and Chanzie. And finally, we’ll conclude our wild weekend at the Century Ballroom with Casey MacGill & Indigo Rhythm swinging away. For $10.00, enter our final competition, Anything Goes Strictly Lindy, will take place to Casey MacGill & Indigo Rhythm where couples will dance Lindy Hop, Balboa, Collegiate Shag, and Blues in the prelims and finals. Be sure to step out in your whitest whites as you descend upon the Century Ballroom like “Pennies From Heaven.”
